How to Hang Up on Scammers

How to Hang Up on Scammers

Have you had your identity stolen, or experienced fraud of some kind?

Please submit an email with a short synopsis of your story to our Focus NW coordinator Larry Telles Ltelles@icehouse.net.

Our first project: Fraud Prevention (working title) is about warning others and helping those in our community see the red flags. This will serve as a short example of a Focus NW project.

HOW THE PROJECTS WORK:

Beginners to experts welcome. Attend a meeting, create a small film team or join the current project.

Each team will choose from our current membership base someone to interview or highlight.

Create short 30 sec–10 minute highlight video using your own personal style to tell the story.

WHY: We want to celebrate our Film Alliance members. We are dedicated to workforce training, giving new enthusiasts opportunity to learn and grow, while experienced filmmakers can share their passion for filming and try new things.

RULES: Videos must send a positive message reflecting or highlighting current members in some way. Length: 30 sec–10 minutes.

FOCUSING ON: Documenting our local history in some way, filmmakers, veterans from the northwest, everyday heroes, caregivers, firefighters, people who have sacrificed for family & those who share knowledge or show exceptional character, any interesting positive story that inspires others, a member who gives back to the community through his or her business. Ideas are endless.

DEADLINES: That’s open. We hope to show some of these short films at our general meetings. Especially during our December Show Your Talent night. As we grow, some of the films may be entered into film festivals or shown at special events. Possibly highlighted on our website and youtube.

COST: FREE! for Film Alliance Members
